Author Guidelines
The International Journal of Conscientiology (IJC) (ISSN: 2764-3182) publishes original contributions, in English, in all areas of conscientiology. The journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet general criteria of significant interassistance in the following formats:
- Original articles containing results of experimental research.
- Review articles covering previous research findings on topics of current interest.
- Critique papers with analyses of scientific events, published texts, films or documentaries and websites related to consciential themes.
- Case reports with scientific details of personal experiences, perceptions and paraperceptions, preferably covering parapsychic phenomena, such as out-of-body experiences, retro and precognitions, among others.
- Interviews with personalities of recognized competence who contribute in a theoretical and practical (theorice) and exemplary manner to studies of consciousnesses and related topics.
Manuscript’s format must be written in a compatible rich text format (.rtf) or Word for Windows (.doc), in English, Times New Roman, font 12, spacing 1.5, margins of 2 cm, maximum 4,500 words, containing:
Title: A brief phrase describing the contents of the paper
Name / surname of author(s), e-mail addresses
Abstract: with a maximum of 150 words, should be informative and completely self-explanatory, briefly presenting the topic, stating the methodology of the experiments, indicating significant data, and pointing out major findings and conclusions.
Keywords: 3 to 6 words to provide indexing references, separated by semicolons.
Introduction: Should provide a clear statement of the context, the relevant literature on the subject, objectives, proposed approaches and methodologies used.
Development/findings: Should be presented with clarity, objectivity and precision, interpreting the findings in view of past studies on the topic. Subheadings should be used.
Conclusive arguments: Main conclusions should be stated in a few sentences at the end of the paper.
References: In the text, a reference should be identified by the author‘s name followed by the date of publication in parentheses. For more than two authors, only the first author‘s name should be mentioned, followed by “et al.”. When an author has two or more works published during the same year, the reference, both in the text and in the reference list, should be identified by a lower-case letter “a” and “b” after the date to distinguish the works. References should be listed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order, following the American Psychological Association (APA) Style – 7th Edition – 2020.
Neologisms must be validated and standardized by the norms of the ICNEO – International Council of Neologistics (https://www.neolexicon.org/?lang=en).
Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before, and that if the manuscript is accepted for publication, the authors agree to automatic transfer of the copyright to the publisher.
Preferably, manuscripts should be submitted through this website (Login or Register to make a submission). Alternatively, manuscripts can be sent as e-mail attachments to the Editorial Committee at: ijc.editorial@gmail.com. The referral message should include the corresponding author's full address and telephone numbers. The authors may suggest potential reviewers for the manuscript and the IJC may invite other reviewers.
